CACI International Oracle Database Administrator in Chantilly, Virginia

Job Description

CACI has a new, multi year program which will involve developing, integration, and deploying software asset management systems and web applications within the IC.

What you’ll get to do:

As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will use your knowledge of database technology to provide technical expertise for database administration.

More about your role:

  • Establish and maintain security and integrity controls.

  • Formulate and monitor policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.

  • Propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.

  • Incorporate security, back-up, and disaster recovery into database designs.

  • Establish database parameters that maximize database performance. Installs, configures, and patches database management systems (DBMS).

  • Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata). Controls access permissions and privileges.

  • Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly.

  • Conduct capacity planning.

  • Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.

  • Apply application, security, and database patches.

  • Migrate new software code and break fixes.

  • Verify shell/SQL scripts, packages, and stored procedures for system enhancements. Installs and configures third party products that integrates with the underlying application.

You’ll bring these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 10+ years relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in Oracle Database Administration

  • Knowledge of MySQL and Relational Database Administration

These qualifications would be nice to have:

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Relational Database as a Service experience
